Auburn Tourism Commission makes plans for the year

Auburn Tourism Commission is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning, April 15 at Auburn City Park beginning at 10 a.m.

The age divisions will be 0-4 years, 5-8 years, 9-12 years. Prizes will be awarded. All Auburn children are invited to participate in this event. For more information, call Wayne Dinsmore at 542-2009.

The Commission is once again sponsoring the Auburn Beautification Contest. Categories are Residential (streetfront), Commercial (storefront) and Most Improved Overall. Winner of each division will receive $100. Residents must submit a 'before' photo to be eligible for the "Most Improved Overall" prize. The contest is limited to properties within the city limits of Auburn.

Applications may be picked up at Auburn City Hall and turned back in by April 28. They may be dropped off or mailed to Auburn City Hall, P.O. Box 465, Auburn 42206. Judging will take place on June 10. For more information, contact Dinsmore at 542-2009.

Nov. 10-11: Auburn Merchants Christmas Open House

Dec. 3: Auburn's Tour of Homes

Dec. 10: Auburn Christmas Parade, 2 pm (Supports Shriners Hospital for Children)

Dec. 10: Auburn Fire Department Jubilee following parade

Dec. 19-20: Live Nativity at Pearce Memorial United Methodist Church
