Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church USA, 141 N. Lincoln St. in Auburn, the Auburn Historical Society, the Logan Telephone Co-op and the Kentucky Humanities Council will sponsor a Duncan Hines Seminar.

In 1949, Mr. Hines and businessman Roy Park formed Hines-Park Foods, Inc. with the purpose of bringing high-quality foods to the American housewife. For more than 50 years, the Duncan Hines brand has represented excellence in baking mixes. Mr. Hines was a Bowling Green native and is buried in his hometown.

The late Roy Park was owner of the News-Democrat & Leader in the late 80s and early 90s.

Speaker for the seminar will be Jonathan Jeffrey, Special Collections Libarian at Western Kentucky University's Kentucky Library. Mr. Jeffrey is a well known author and has given over 500 presentations before civic, literary, religious, and cultural groups. His most recent book is Standing Strong: A History of the Bowling Green Public Library.

Admission is free and the public is cordially invited. Refreshments will be served.
