Russellville Aglow meeting

The Russellville Aglow meeting will be held at 7 p.m. with refreshments at 6:30. The meeting will be at the Governor Breathitt Building. Mr. Monroe Bigbee will be the speaker.

Stevenson committee meeting

The Home/School and Community Committee of Stevenson Elementary School will meet the first Wednesday of each month at 2:30 in room 5.

LCHS financial aid workshop

All seniors and their parents of Logan County High School are invited to attend a financial aid information meeting to be held in the commons area at Logan County High School at 6 p.m. For more information, contact Sheryl Speck, Logan County High School Senior Counselor at 726-8454.

deGraffenried Chorale auditions

The deGraffenreid Chorale will hold auditions today at First Baptist Church on 6th and Main Street beginning at 7 p.m. Interested singers may prepare a musical vocal and/or sing by sight reading music at the try-out. All voice parts (ranges) are invited to audition. For questions call 726-2533.

Bloodmobile at Elkton

There's a desperate need for blood-giving over the holidays. Today from noon to 6 p.m. at Elkton Baptist Church. If you are feeling well, weigh at least 110 pounds., are at least 17 years old (no upper age limit) and have not given whole blood in the last 56 days or double red cells for the last 112 days you may be eligible. Veterans Affairs at R'ville Armory

A representative of the Ky. Dept. of Veterans affairs will be at the Russellville National Guard Armory from 9 a.m. until 12 noon today. They will help those eligible apply for benefits and file claims. There are survivor and dependent benefits as well. Some documents that might be needed include discharge papers, marriage certificate, dependent social security #s, death certificates (if applicable), and medical records if available.

The Russellville High School Site Based Decision Making Council will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Media Center.

Stevenson committee

The Professional Development and Evaluation Committee of Stevenson Elementary School meets the second Monday of each month at 2:30 p.m. or directly after faculty meetings in the library.

The Russellville Arts Council holds open meetings on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. All are invited.

RHS Sports Hall of Fame

The 12 charter members of the Russellville High School Sports Hall of Fame will be inducted between games at Jim Young Gymnasium tonight.

Walleyball tournament deadline

The Carpenter Fitness and Aquatic Center will begin an adult Walleyball tournament Feb. 6. The tournament will be four- person play with a maximum of eight individuals on the roster. The fee is $40 per team with a Carpenter Center membership and $80 per team for non-members. Rosters and registration fees are due by today. Forms and rules are available at the Carpenter Center.
