Beechland Road last to reopen

KY 1153 (Beechland Road) in Logan County from mile point 4 to mile point 5 was the last state road in the Kentucky Highway Department District 3 closed to through traffic due to flood waters.

District 3 includes Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, Todd and Warren counties.

The announcement was made early Friday morning. By noon Friday, Beechland Road had been opened.

Dry weather was anticipated for several days after last Monday and Tuesday's heavy downpours.
