Lewisburg Homemakers met at the home of Myrrhl Stohecker on July 19, 2005.

Mary Ellen Batsel thanked the hostess and welcomed nine members and one guest, Cindy K.

President Batsel read the thought of the month, "Vacation quote of the day." Then the pledge to the flag was recited followed by Margaret Allen's reading of "The Raggeth Ole Flag," by Johnny Cask.

The lesson "Outdoor Grilling and Picnics," was presented by Brenda Gormley who gave a lot of information and tips. Then Myrrhl, Brenda and Pat served delicious homegrown garden food with grilled hamburgers and homemade ice cream.

August 11 was set for an outing and then everyone was reminded that reports were due.

The homemakers love and sympathy goes out to the family of a dear friend and longtime member that was missed and will be missed. Katherine Whitaker passed on July 10, 2005. Katherine had perfect attendance this past year and was always ready to help the club.
