Emma B. Sanford, 83, of Genoa, Ohio, and formerly of Russellville, died Thursday, May 19 at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toleda, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 25 at 11 a.m. at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with burial to follow in Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 at the Young Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chuck DiSanto, Steven Taylor, Richard Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Tommy Teague, and Herman Taylor.

Mrs. Sanford was born in Logan County on May 26, 1921 to the late Claude and Josephine Crawford Biggs. She was married to the late Mervin C. Sanford and was a homemaker and member of New Union Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Sanford are her son, Edwin C. Sanford of Genoa, Ohio; daughter, Mary Sanford, of Genoa, Ohio; and two granddaughters, Susan Cope of Holland, Ohio, and Sheri DiSanto of Castillia, Ohio.
