Cougar JV wins third straight

Running its record to 3-0, the Logan County junior varsity baseball team beat visiting Muhlenberg North 7-3 Thursday.

Freshman Corey Richmond got the win on the mound. He pitched the first three innings, and sophomore Alex Graves pitched the final two innings.

Logan scored two runs in the second inning, when Kyle Lyons reached on an error and John Kenner hit a two-run homer.

Four more runs scored in the third on hits by Zack Higginbotham, Cody Pedigo, Lyons and Kenner.

The seventh run scored in the fourth when Tyler Porter walked. Courtesy runner Cody Lee stole second and scored on an error.

Tyler Angel and Richmond also had hits.
