AC-S won 36-35 in overtime.
Allen County led 8-7 after a quarter, but the Cougars took a 21-20 advantage into the dressing room when Thomason scored at the buzzer. He had 12 of the Cougars' 14 points in the second quarter.
A low-scoring third quarter found the Cougars still up by one at 25-24.
With the score tied at 31-31, Thomason had two close-in shots with 22 seconds remaining in regulation. He missed them both.
Teammate John Kenner drew a charge with 8.3 seconds to give the Cougars a chance to win it, but Blake Meacham missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.
Thomason's goal with 14.1 seconds in OT cut the lead to 36-35. AC-S used a lot of clock taking the ball out and then called timeout.
Meacham gave his team a chance to win by forcing a Patriot turnover with 5.7 seconds. Logan couldn't take advantage, though, as Thomason's air ball sailed wide to end the game.
Logan was without center Trey Turner, who was held out in case he was needed for varsity action.
John Marsh led the Patriots with 15 points.
