Members from the Chicago Bears operations staff will be visiting Austin Peay State University to analyze and evaluate the Polytan turf at Governors Stadium as a possible playing surface solution for the Bears indoor facility in Chicago.

John Bostrum, senior director of administration for the Bears, including operations, will lead a contigent of Bears personnel to meet with Charlie Meeks, president of TurboLink, International, the developer of the Polytan playing surface. Meeks personally surpervised the installation of APSU's new turf last summer.

The Bears were informed about APSU's new surface by Richard (Rex) Hogan, who formerly played at Austin Peay and is now an area scout for the Bears.
