Auburn Lumber had its grand opening on Oct. 28 to a crowd of over 300 people. This business is a dream come true to principal owner David Yoder, who plans on working with honesty and integrity for the citizens of Logan County.
As he is of the Mennonite faith, people come to expect certain values of him, and he won't let them down.
Of course, the store carries lumber. But inside the walls of the store is everything one would expect at a well-stocked hardware store and more. Paint, saw blades, tools, tricycles, and wagons can be found there. They also give free deliveries anywhere... within reason, of course.
There were wall-to-wall people on the grand opening day. Yoder was very excited about the turnout. He also feels that the Auburn area has some of the nicest people around. He is from Ohio and has been here for about 31 years now. He laughed and said how some think he is a 'Yankee.' Their goal is to supply the needs of the people in this field and area with honesty and integrity.
Bill Steen, mayor of Adairville and part-owner, along with Doug Gilden, and Delmert Graber, who are also part owners, and the other seven employees look forward to success for many years ahead.
