Riggs was hired in June of this year to serve as assistant city clerk. He was hired to help replace previous long-time clerk Peggy Jenkins.
Riggs graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1973 with an accounting degree. He worked over 25 years as an accountant for Rockwell and then transferred to one of its subsidiaries in Hopkinsville, where he served as finance director.
Riggs lives on a farm in Lewisburg with his wife Katherine. They have one son, Matthew, who lives in Ohio.
Bob Riggs serves on the board of directors for the Mud River Watershed and is a member of Epley Methodist Church.
