McKinneys hurt in accident; all-terrain vehicles injure boys

ACCIDENTS

On Friday, Sept. 10 a 1996 Chevy S-10 driven by Billy McKinney, 71, of Lewisburg, ran off the roadway at the intersection of Terry Wilcutt Highway and the Sportsman Club Road in Russellville, striking two large trees.

The driver and his passenger, Gwyneth McKinney, 69, of Lewisburg, were injured and removed from the vehicle by the Russellville City Fire Department Jaws of Life.

Mrs. McKinney, who is a former mayor of Lewisburg, was transported to Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green by the Medical Center EMS.

Mr. McKinney, who is a former principal of Lewisburg High School in addition to several other positions in education and banking, was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital by Air-Evac.

Gwyneth McKinney came home over the weekend and Bill McKinney was expected to be released from the hospital early this week.
