On Thursday, Sept. 2, the Logan County Sheriff's Department responded to 760 Echo Valley Road to a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival, deputies found 29-year-old Timothy Hadden had been stabbed twice in the back, allegedly by 21-year-old Michael Figueroa.

Through investigation, officers believe that Hadden was assaulting his girlfriend, 40-year-old Lisa Deskins when her son, Figueroa, who was trying to defend her, stabbed Hadden in the back.

Hadden was transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Figueroa was charged with assault second degree. He was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center. Charges will be sought on Hadden upon his release from the hospital.

The incident is being investigated by K-9 Deputy Tracy White, assisted by Deputy Clint Wright.
