A Logan County team composed of guys who will be 15 or 16 by Babe Ruth age next year won a four-team baseball tournament at Mayfield last weekend.

After going 0-3 in seeding play Saturday, Coach Greg Meacham's team beat the Tennessee Blue Devils 8-5 in their tournament opener Sunday before edging the St. Louis Hawks 8-7 in the championship game. Both teams scored four runs in the final inning.

Team members included Blake Meacham, Chad Taylor, John Kenner, Zack Knuckles and Travis Hooper from this summer's 15-year-old all-stars; Luke Gilliam, Tyler Spain, Mitchell Moore, Tyler Porter and Corey Richmond, from the 14-year-old all-stars; and Muhlenberg South player Ben Woodson.

Details of the games will appear in a later edition.
