The Russellville Lady Panthers finished their off-season basketball program this past weekend.

This summer RHS went 7-15 with wins over Butler County, Bowling Green, Glasgow, Green County, Fulton County and two teams from Tennessee.

They played at Glasgow, Elizabethtown, Austin Peay and Western Kentucky University.

"The girls worked hard this summer and I was proud of their effort," says second-year coach Stephen Guthrie. "Several players made progress this summer: Terrika Quarles and Quinsha Posey had the best summer. Chole Elam, Anja Shelton, Rachea Daniels, Shonay Danridge, and Jayne Higgins made significant progress as well.

Guthrie says the summer was profitable for the team. "I am proud of all our girls as we look forward to the season. This summer has helped us tremedously."
