Logan County's 14 runs in the contest marked their highest run total all season, which is exactly what they like with the regular season ending the following day.

Derrick Roberts hit an RBI single to left-center field to score Cartas. After a walk to Ryan Williams, catcher Adam White doubled to left field, bringing Roberts around to score and cutting the Allen County-Scottsville lead in half.
After a quick, four-batter inning, in the fourth, the Cougars came back to the dugout and their bats exploded. They scored eight runs on five hits and five walks in the frame.
In the inning, Cartas had an RBI, pitcher Andrew Johnson had two RBIs, Eric Baldwin had one RBI, and White had three RBIs. White's RBIs came via his second double of the game after the Patriots intentionally walked Williams to load the bases with one out.
Logan County stopped AC-S again in the bottom of the fifth inning and then added four more runs to their cause in their half of the sixth. Curt Whittington led the inning off with a solo homer over the right field wall on a 2-1 count. The Cougars then loaded the bases and with two out, Eric Inscoe singled to left field to score Roberts. The next two runs crossed the plate on a Cartas single, giving Logan County a 10-run advantage and placing them three outs away from the win.
Whittington came in to close out the game for the Cougars. He pitched a perfect inning, striking out two, and gave Logan County a 17-9 record with just one regular season game left on the schedule. In the game, Johnson pitched five innings, allowing just five hits and giving up four runs.
Official numbers for the Cougars in the contest were: 14 runs on 13 hits and no Patriot errors.
n The Cougars' season ended Friday with an 8-7 loss to visiting Bowling Green. Logan jumped out to a 5-2 lead but a rash of outfield errors gave the Purples a 6-5 lead.
