Rules to be enforced at middle school dance

Russellville Parks and Recreation and the Optimist Club will sponsor a Middle School Dance on Friday, Feb. 20 from 7-10 p.m. at the Clubhouse at the City Park.

The fee is $3 per student. Students must be enrolled in the Russellville or Logan County school systems and be in the 5th-8th grade to attend. Parents must come inside the building to pick up students when leaving.

Rules for the dance are as follows and will be strictly enforced:

* Everyone must hang up coats and jackets upon entering

* No lasers allowed

*No glow sticks

* No toboggans

* No tank tops, spaghetti straps or sleeveless shirts

* Hoods on sweatshirts may not be worn

* No shirts which advertise racism, alcohol, gangs, tobacco, or other drugs will be allowed

* Chains are not to be worn hanging from or attached to the pockets of clothing.

* Pants are not to be worn on the hips and undergarments must be covered

* No provocative dancing allowed (bumping, grinding, etc., etc., etc.)

* No baseball caps or hats of any kind will be allowed

* Parents are welcome to attend
