Auburn continued its pattern of winning big in girls games and playing the boys games close in the Tigers' and Lady Tigers' regular season finale Thursday.

Coach Joshua Hall's teams won both games over visiting Olmstead, taking the girls game 45-9 and squeaking out a win in the boys game 27-25.

The Lady Tigers led 8-0 and 26-2 at the first two stops.

Eighth grader Paige Hesson had a big night on Eighth Grade Night with 13 points, and classmate Courtney Rogers had one of her best games with 8 points. In between came seventh grader Devin Brown with 9.

Eighth grader Brittany Guthrie had to miss the game because of an injury suffered against St. Joseph earlier in the week.

Mitchell Moore was the top-scoring eighth grader for the boys with six points. Seventh grader Zach Smith was the leading scorer with 9 points and classmate Daniel Pardue hit a pair of 3-pointers.

Center Ryan Meguiar played most of the game despite having been sick all week.

Adrian Ferguson and Daniel Shoemake combined to score all but two of Auburn's points with Ferguson scoring 14 and Shoemake 9.
