Auburn is getting a face-lift as the state blacktop vehicles came rolling through downtown Auburn last week resurfacing the old Hwy. 68-80. The work begins at the eastern exit and finishes at the southern exit.

Auburn Mayor Dewey Roche says the city has been waiting for some time now to get on the transportation department's priority list for resurfacing.

"We are very excited and are happy that this work is being done," said Roche, who has attended meetings at the transportation department to insure Auburn was on the list.
