Lana Jane Costellow and Benjamin Dale Rogers were the recipients of the LCHS CATS Scholarship.

The CATS Scholarship was endowed by the faculty and Site Based Committee when the school received rewards from their CATS scores in 2001.

The female and male graduates with the highest scores on their CATS test beginning their sophomore years are awarded $500 each.

Lana is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Costellow. She was the valedictorian of her senior class and has an impressive resume of other awards throughout her high school career.

She received "Who's Who Among American High School Students in grades 9 -12." A Governor's Scholar, she has served as Third District Beta President, Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Ambassador and as an officer in FCA, PRIDE, Pep Club, Speech and Drama.

She received the DAR Good Citizenship Award, has been a state semi-finalist in Speech and Drama, a Region 4 All-Academic Cheerleader, a varsity football and competition squad cheerleader, as well as a member of the color guard grades 9-12. She will attend Western Kentucky University this fall.

Ben is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Rogers. He, too, has had a very successful high school career.

A 2002 Governor's Scholar, he has received the IFAL and PEPP awards. He was also voted the Most Outspoken Senior Class Member.

He served as vice-president of FCA and FFA during his senior year and has been active in the BETA Club and FBLA.
