He was born in Logan County on March 8, 1921, a son of the late Andrew 'Bon' and Lizzie Mae Carter Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a retired farmer, a member of Adairville Church of Christ, and started the Adairville Ambulance Service. He was a former director of the Adairville Volunteer Fire Department, former director for the Adairville Ambulance Service, a Kentucky Colonel, former president of the Adairville Fish & Game, former Adairville City Council member, and former board member for the Logan County Ambulance Service.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 16 at 2 p.m. in Dean Funeral Chapel with Bro. James Nealy and Bro. Barclay Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Buddy, Liz, and Lana Smith, Jon and Tina Henbest, Matthew Jackson, Jaime Starks, and Sonny Gloyd.
Honorary pallbearers are Henry Smith, Earl Jackson, Cliffton Quesenberry, Billy Dorris, Billy and Andy Leighton, Thomas Mason, Melvin Sykes, and Mark Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Della Perry Jackson of Adairville; his son, Ronnie Dale Jackson of Adairville; his daughters, Faye Smith of Adairville and Beverly Bond of Russellville; his brothers, Paul Jackson of Adairville and Maynard Jackson of Franklin; his sisters, Emma Lou Moore of Adairville and Ruby Burr of Springfield; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
