He was born in Logan County on June 27, 1922, a son of the late Claude and Dissie Forgy Chapman.
Mr. Chapman was a United States Army WWII Veteran, was employed by Emerson Electric Co., and was a member of New Union Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 14 in Young Funeral Home, Russellville Chapel with Bro. James Doyel and Bro. Michael Loyd officiating. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bobby Willis, Jerry Willis, William Yates, Alan Nations, Howard Spencer, and Ray Celsor.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine Chapman of Russellville; his daughters, Gloria Salmon and Darlene Yates, both of Russellville, and Teresa Onstad of Hopkinsville, and three grandchildren.
