The Logan County Sheriff's Department responded to an accident with injury on U.S. 79 South shortly after 11 a.m. Dec. 6.

The accident, which occurred at the intersection of 79 and Old Volney Road, involved a tractor-trailer and three passenger vehicles.

Upon arrival, officers determined that an Olmstead juvenile had attempted to make a left-hand turn from 79 on to West Old Volney Road when he pulled into the path of Joy Berube of Clarksville, Tenn., according to sheriff department reports.

The force from the collision caused Berube's vehicle to overturn and then collide head-on into a tractor-trailer which was also southbound on 79. The vehicle driven by the juvenile then proceeded to collide with Brenda Williams, 34, North Beauchamp.

Berube, the juvenile and William E. Dulworth, 18, Olmstead, were transported to Logan Memorial Hospital. The juvenile and Dulworth were treated and released the same day. At the time the report was issued, Berube was listed in stable condition.
