To most Logan Countians she is known as a long-time political leader and a dairy farmer, but people around Auburn have become more and more aware of her ability to use flowers tastefully for everything from weddings to funerals.
So many people were calling her asking for help when flowers were needed, she decided to go into business for herself. She calls it Unique Design Flowers.
She has all types of silk flowers, cemetery pieces, cherubs, arrangements and live flowers. She plans to get into gift items.
Some big occasions are coming up for florists, and Chyle will be prepared for those. Mother's Day is Sunday, May 12. Proms and other graduation activities will be soon afterwards. Then come those June weddings. She not only can provide the flowers but do the wedding planning.
She has already done Christmas business decorations, Valentines and Easter arrangements since going on her own.
Unique Design Flowers will deliver in and around Auburn, Russellville, Franklin and Bowling Green.
Some of her work is on display and for sale at Cheryl's Classic Cuts and the Finer Facts of Life, two businesses located next door to each other on the Auburn Public Square behind Firstar bank.
Unique Design Flowers is located in the home she and her husband Robert Earl have owned for 37 years at 1497 Taylor Barrow Road, which is about five miles from Auburn off KY 73 North of U.S. 68-80. They raised their two daughters there. Tina, Tim and Taylor Owens and Sheila and Patrick Fitzgerald live nearby.
Her telephone number can be found in an advertisement on Page B-2 in today's N-D&L.
