Saturday saw many individuals of Logan County cleaning up the roadways of their community.

The Logan County Chamber of Commerce and the Solid Waste Coordinator sponsored a county-wide cleanup, which began, for some, as early as 5 a.m.

Organizations such as Boy Scout Troop 303 and private citizens such as Bob Guion of Russellville turned out to help keep their county clean.

The volunteers were sectioned out to different areas throughout Russellville and the county that were identified earlier as needing immediate attention.

Bags and orange safety vests were distributed among volunteers, who picked up a large portion of litter within a four-hour time frame.
