Chip Parnell, manager of Waste Management's local landfill, didn't get the tonnage limit he wanted immediately, but it will be in effect in five years.
Harris Dockins and Wyatt Ezell didn't get the two Saturdays per month of free dumping immediately, but received a promise that it will go into effect if the landfill's business improves late this year.
Dockins did get concessions for the humane society, and the recycling programs and economic development are to be helped.
Harold Prince got no guarantee that trucks which aren't going to this landfill will stop leaking out trash along U.S. 431, but he continued to make it known that he expects that to happen.
After three and a half hours of negotiation, the court was in the mood to postpone any action, but County Attorney Tom Noe mediated a settlement in the next 30 minutes.
By a 5-2 vote, Logan Fiscal Court approved final plans for the landfill host agreement. The old one expires Sunday.
By that happening, the county will continue to receive the benefits afforded to the county by Waste Management.
