The Logan County High School girls’ basketball team won its fifth straight game on Friday, beating University Heights 59-41 on Friday in Hopkinsville.

The Lady Cougars are now 8-4 on the year and are back in action tonight at home against Butler County.

The Logan County girls play at home Friday night in a District 13 game against Todd County Central.

Boys

The Cougars lost by 17 on Friday at Union County.

It was their third loss in a row after picking up their first victory of the season Dec. 31 against Butler County in the First Southern National Bank/Roy’s BBQ Classic.

The Cougars have a chance tonight to get win No. 2 as they host Butler County at 6 p.m. in the first game of a boy-girl doubleheader.
