If you love good old-fashioned gospel music, then you want to be in Lewisburg on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Lewisburg City Complex (the former Spinners skating rink) for a gospel extravaganza.

This is expected to be one of the most exciting gospel events held in Logan County featuring many genres of gospel music including traditional, contemporary and old southern, to name a few.

Many individuals and groups are expected to perform including: Larry Vaught, Vicki Gregory, Angie Dudley, Dennis Mohan, Clay Bilyeu, Tim Harris, Travis Bryan, Bryson Price, Erika Anderson, Pete Lehman, Alan Walker, The Schoolhouse 7, Tony Stephens and Friends, The Harmoneers, The Bilbreys, Mostly Bluegrass, Tyler Davenport and Jeff Borders, Jacob & Marvin Upton and Don Grace, and the Dripping Springs Trio.

This event is part of the Lewisburg Summer Series and was brought about by Mayor Tina Callahan-Dye and brother Larry Vaught of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The event is sponsored by Mt. Pleasant in cooperation with other local churches, the mayor and the Lewisburg Lions Club.

Admission will be free, however, an offering will be taken up to help with the community fund. Refreshments will be served and all proceeds will go to the Lions Club to help the club’s vision care program.

This is sure to be a glorious event, one in which will offer great talent in gospel music.
