Carl Francis Thomas, 76, of Russellville, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.

He was born in Todd County July 25, 1934, a son of the late George Shelby Thomas and the late Mildred Isabell Thomas. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Ann Thomas; his brothers, Claude, Julian and Roger Thomas, and his sisters, Margaret Hunton, Edith Denton, Dorothy Hays, Mildred Philpott and Juanita Westray.

Mr. Thomas was a retired truck driver from Griffin Industries.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 7 at Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel. Burial followed in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bucky Thomas, Danny Thomas, Randy Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Chris Milam, Scott Boley, Monty Robertson, Mike Hester, Jerry Hester, and Ronald Pitts.

He is survived by his wife, Zenobia Waggoner Thomas, his sons, Karl David Thomas and wife Debbie, Gary Raymond Thomas and wife Dianna, George William Thomas and James Francis Thomas, all of Russellville; his grandchildren, Alisha Boley, Brandon Thomas, Mickey Thomas, Bryan Thomas, Breann Thomas, Meagan Cunningham, Eli Thomas and Zoey Thomas; his great-grandchild, Tyler Boley; his step-grandchildren, Breanna Wright and Savannah Goad; his sisters, Betty Bilyue, Joan Fish and Nancy Camp; his brother, Joe Ray Thomas, and many nieces and nephews.
