The new LCHS varsity team with coach Eric Evans leading the way will have a packed schedule. Fans will have their first chance to see this new varsity team on August 2nd when they scrimmage against Hertiage Christian. They will kick off the regular season with an away match against Hart County on August 16th, before returning home on the 18th to face the same Hart County team. They will go to Muhlenberg on August 20th to compete in the Varsity tournament before returning home to take on Russellville. They will then play Ohio County on August 25th before going to Warren Central. That is the first of three away matches where they face Butler County and Franklin-Simpson in quick sesession. Butler County will lead off the next homestand on September 15th. They will then play South Warren and Todd County before heading to Christian County for their varsity Tournament. They will then go to Russellville on September 26th before hosting Franklin-Simpson in their last home match. They wrap up the regular season with an away match at Bowling Green.
RHS will open up the season at home against Bowling Green on August 15th before taking to the road for the next two facing off against Warren East and the newly formed Logan County team. Warren East will come to Russellville on the 30th of August before playing a home and away game against Butler County. On September 17th, RHS will go and participate in the Frankln-Simpson Invitational before hosting three games in a row featuring Muhlenberg County, Todd County Central and Logan County. They wrap up the regular season at Warren Central on September 27th.
The LCHS Lady Cougars will also be having their first varsity season under head coach Daniel McCarley. The first two games will be on the road with Franklin-Simpson kicking off the season on August 16th. Their first home game will be against Hart County on the 27th of August. They will play an away and home game against Muhlenberg County and Warren Central before heading to Butler County on September 6th. Two straight home matches against Todd Central County and Butler County. They will go to Hart County on September 17th. Then back home against Barren County and on the road against Todd County before wrapping up play at home against Bowling Green on September 29th.
