Lady Cougars pick up fourth straight win

The Logan County High School girls’ basketball team is on a win streak.

The Lady Cougars dispatched Muhlenberg South 51-39 on Monday to take their fourth straight victory.

Logan County went 3-0 last week in the First Southern National Bank/Roy’s BBQ Classic. One of those wins also came against Muhlenberg South.

On Monday, the Lady Cougars were led by junior Sarah Speck, who finished the game with 16 points, eight rebounds and six steals.

Michelle England had 10 points and Jenna Wilson finished with nine.

The Lady Cougars (7-4) will be back in action tonight at University Heights at 7:30 p.m. and play again on Tuesday at home against Butler County.

The Logan County boys’ team fell 63-49 on Tuesday at Fort Campbell.

The Cougars (1-12) play tonight at Union County. Last season, Logan County beat Union County.

The Logan boys also play Butler County on Tuesday as part of a boy-girl doubleheader.
