The Logan County High School Band will present their “Road to Disney” concert Friday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym at Logan County High School.

Admission is $5 per person, children under four are free. The band will be selling coke products and popcorn. All monies raised will help fund the band’s trip to Walt Disney World, Florida and their performance in the 2011 Disney Music Magic Days the week of March 28.

Not only do these fine musicians represent Logan County High School and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, but they also represent the five middle schools they come from.

“I hope you will plan on attending this concert as the students have worked very hard for this honor and worked even harder raising the money,” said C. Allen Kennedy, director of bands.

The Band will perform these five selections at the concert: A Hercules Medley from Hercules; Tale as Old as Time from Beauty and the Beast; Lion Kind Medley from The Lion King; Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas and Pirates of the Caribbean Medley from Pirates of the Caribbean.

The LCHS choir, also under the direction of Mr. Kennedy, will open the concert by singing two, maybe three selections. They will do a full concert down the road, but this was a great opportunity to spotlight their work as well.
