The burn ban that had been in effect for Logan County has been lifted. Logan

County Judge/Executive Logan Chick signed an executive order Tuesday ending

the ban.

The order stated that ³due to improved weather conditions and upon

recommendation of the Kentucky Division of Foresty, the ban on outdoor

burning in Logan County is hereby lifted, effective Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010,

at 11 a.m.

³The Kentucky Department of Forestry still recognizes October 1 through

December 15 as a fire hazard season; it is unlawful to set fire within 150

feet of any woodland or brushland; burning is prohibited except between the

hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. local time or when the ground is covered with

snow.
