Virginia F. Williams Gravil Gregory, 92, of Bowling Green, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016, in Greenwood Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born December 24, 1923, to the late George B. and Helen Mae Meridith Williams. Mrs. Gregory was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Gregory, a son, James W. Gregory, Jr., and two brothers, Curtis Williams and Earl “Skid” Williams.
Mrs. Gregory worked as a Nurse’s Aide for many years, was very involved in the Foster Grandparents program in the Logan County School System and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Russellville.
She is survived by four sons, Edward R. (Judy) Gravil, Larry K. (Carole) Gravil, both of Bowling Green, Royce Richard “Marlice Ann” Gravil, Russellville, and Jesse Garvin (Terry) Gregory, Nashville; six daughters, Jean Gravil (Junior) Loafman, Donna Gravil (Billy) Shader, and Teresa Gravil Howard, all three of Bowling Green, Brenda Sue Gregory (Jimmy) Cushing, Fayetteville, TN, Bronna Gregory (Steve) Bailey and Vanessa Gregory Scruggs, both of Russellville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 8 pm Sunday and from 9 am until 2 pm Monday at the JC Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday in the JC Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
