The Logan County Lady Cougars have won the 13th district championship for the past three seasons. They hope to make that four in a row this week at Franklin-Simpson High School. The action gets started Tuesday night at 6:30 against cross-town rivals Russellville. The Lady Cougars have won both meetings against the Lady Panthers this season, but the two teams always provide unpredictable entertainment for fans in each “clash of the cats.”

The Lady Cougars (10-20) ended the regular season with a win on the road Friday night. They beat University Heights 69-63. Jessica Hines led the charge with 19 points. Kennedy Nichols landed just behind the Senior with 15. Logan Williamson ended up with 11, while Peyton Vanzant scored ten.

On the year, Jessica Hines leads Logan County with 285 points scored. Logan Williamson has the most 3-pointers with 22. Hines also leads in the rebound category with 197.

The Cougars (7-19) played the last regular season game on the road at Edmonson County Friday night. They came up just two points short against an excellent (17-10) Wildcat team. The final score was 70-68. Logan County drew the short straw for the 13th district tournament this year. They face Franklin-Simpson (23-6) to open the events at Franklin-Simpson High School.
