Troy Adams stood first in the line of Russellville High School students placed alphabetically by last name in a hall at RHS and looked forward with excitement to receiving his high school diploma Saturday. “I’m ready,” he said of graduating. “It’ll be a fun experience.” As his honor cords hung over his black robe, Troy reminisced about his school days. Two Logan County High School students have recieved Governor’s Scholars (GSP) scholarships to attend Western Kentucky University in the fall. Sye Head of Russellville has recieved a GSP scholarship to attend WKU. He is the son of Greg and Pam Head and is currently a senior at LCHS. He plans to major in pre-medicine and psychology. The Stevenson Elementary first grade students took a field trip on Tuesday to the Logan County FFA greenhouse. The students were taught about the different parts of plants, took a tour of the greenhouse and were shown how to plant seeds in a tray of soil.
