Panthers with a big win against Todd County

The Russellville Panther football team traveled to Todd County Central to face the Rebels on Friday night and came home with a big 39-14 win. This brings the Panthers’ season record to 3-2.

The Panthers started strong with a one-yard touchdown by Desmon Quarles early in the first half to bring the score to 6-0. Todd County would come back to take the lead of 7-6 in the first quarter. Barrett Croslin would break through the Rebel defense for a 65-yard touchdown with 1:40 left in the first half. Tacorian Darden would get an interception against the Rebels giving the Panthers possession of the ball. Croslin would then complete a 22 yard pass to Demarcus Hampton to bring the score 18-7 at the half.

Hines would end the third quarter with a 49 yard touchdown run to bring the score to 32-7. The Panthers would end their game when Croslin picks the Rebel quarterback and returns the ball for a 36 yard touchdown. The Rebels would score once more in the fourth quarter but the Panthers would take home the win of 39-14.

The Panthers will face Franklin-Simpson in a home game next Friday.
