Adairville Elementary hosted the Sixth Annual Cardinal Classic archery tournament this weekend. The tournament hosted 19 teams from Indiana, Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee with over 560 students.

Lewisburg Elementary finished in first place with a score of 3063. Chandlers Elementary finished in second with 3057 points and Olmstead finished in third with 2968 points.

“The coaching staff, parents and team members want to thank the tremendous support the community gave to make this tournament such a huge success,” said archery sponsor Steve Stratton.

Stratton says they had twenty one business and individual donations of $100 each toward expenses for the tournament.

“We want to thank each of those for their support not only at tournament time but throughout the year for their continuing support for the Archery Program at Adairville School,” said Stratton.

All local schools will head to regionals at Metcalfe County this Friday and Saturday.
