The Kentucky state Envirothon competition was held on May 9 and 10 in Jabez.
Envirothon is a competition that test students on their knowledge of Soils, Aquatics, Wildlife, Foresty and a Current Issue Topic.
Logan County High School had two teams compete at the West Regional Envirothon at Pennyrile State Forest on April 20. Logan County Team B went on to compete at the State Envirothon where they finished in 3rd Place overall.
They received an award medal for the highest score in Wildlife and also a backpack for finishing 3rd. They will also move on to compete in the National FFA Competition for being the top scoring FFA team in the state. Logan Team B consisted of (above, left to right) Will Hughes, Thomas Poole, D. J. Lee, Wesley Estes, and Adam Wilkins. Logan Team A (not pictured) consisted of Austin Smotherman, Brandon Hunt, Wesley Hughes, Matt Hughes, and Conner Williams. Congratulations to these students for a job well done.
