The Logan County Lady Cougars traveled to Bowling Green on Monday to face the Bowling Green High School Lady Purples. The Lady Cougars suffered a big loss of 72-29 to the Lady Purples.

The Lady Cougars started the game slow and could never catch up to the Lady Purples. The Lady Cougars ended the first quarter 9-27 and fell behind farther the second quarter, with a half-time score of 17-43.

The Lady Purples kept fighting after half-time and continued to lengthen the gap to 26-60 heading into the last quarter. The Lady Cougars were not able to fight through the tough Lady Purple defense and ended the game 29-72.

Abbey Hinton led the Lady Cougars in points with 11. Maegann Hardison ended the game with five points and both Laura Hunt and Brooke Barnes finished with four points each.

The Lady Cougars will face the Russellville Lady Panthers tonight during the Clash of the Cats starting at 6 p.m.
