The Logan County Lady Cougars travelled to Warren Central to face the Lady Dragons for the second time last week. Last Tuesday the Lady Cougars had a strong win of 12-6 against the Lady Dragons. On Thursday, the Lady Dragons game back for revenge and beat the Lady Cougars 11-10.
The Lady Cougars started the game right, gaining the lead early an RBI triple by Victoria Cates and a RBI double by Rebecca Barnett. The Lady Cougars would continue their success and add another run in the second inning.
The sixth inning was big for the Lady Cougars, who scored six runs in the inning. Cates started the inning when she was walked to get on base. Later, Megan Ferguson would hit an RBI single to bringing in three runs after errors made by the Lady Dragons. Sierra Morrow would single to bring in two more runs and Cierra Johnson would score on an error.
The Lady Cougars would go into the bottom of the fourth inning leading 10-0, but the Lady Dragons were not ready for the game to end. The Lady Dragons would score their first run of the bottom of the fourth with an RBI single.
The Lady Cougars had a tough fifth inning as they allowed seven runs to be scored by the Lady Dragons. The Lady Cougars would still lead 10-8 up until the seventh inning of the game.
The Lady Dragons would quickly tie the game 10-10 after a strong hit by the Lady Dragons. The Lady Dragons would finish out the game and score one more run, resulting in an 11-10 loss for the Lady Cougars.
