Despite being released several days ago on a $500,000 unsecured bond, Lewisburg man Timothy Claytor, 44, is back in the Logan County Detention Center - this time on a $150,000 cash bond after being indicted Friday for murder.

According to the sheriff’s office, Claytor turned himself in to authorities this weekend.

Claytor was arrested Friday, Aug. 31 after he allegedly shot and killed 46-year-old Dale Holloway of Russellville the night before at his home. The Logan County Sheriff’s Department was called out to Claytor’s home on T. McReynolds Road at approximately 10:22 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in response to a disturbance involving a weapon. Upon arrival, officers discovered Holloway unresponsive in the front yard with multiple gunshot wounds.

According to the sheriff’s office, it appears that Holloway came to the home of Claytor looking for Lori White, a female associate of Holloway. It appears, says police, that some type of argument took place between Holloway and Claytor that resulted in the death of Holloway.

Commonwealth Attorney Gail Guiling took the case to the Grand Jury on Friday, Sept. 7, and after presenting the evidence, Claytor was indicted on murder, which is a Class A felony and, if convicted carries, a sentence of 20 years to life in prison.

It has been confirmed by the sheriff’s office that the incident between Claytor and Holloway, resulting in Holloway’s death, was all caught on video tape.

According to the sheriff’s office, Claytor had set up a video surveillance system at his residence after having some trouble with theft in the past. The camera system, which has no audio, caught the entire altercation on tape.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, which is in the process of interviewing those involved in the incident.

Claytor is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, Sept. 13 at 8:30 a.m.
