Lady Cougars lose close game to Lady Rebels

Logan County High School hosted their Pink Out games on Tuesday to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The Lady Cougars were dressed in pink as they faced the Todd County Central Lady Rebels. The Lady Cougars played a close game that went to eight innings, but fell 1-3.

The game started off slow, but in the top of the third the Lady Rebels would score the first run, putting the Lady Rebels up 1-0. The Lady Cougars were next to bat, and with a nice hit by Victoria Cates, Cierra Johnson would score for the Lady Cougars.

The game would stayed tied up throughout the game, causing the teams to go into an eighth inning. The Lady Cougars would make some mistakes and the Lady Rebels would score two times to take the 3-1 win.

Shelby Milam pitched the majority of the game. Milam had seven strikeouts and allowed five hits and two runs. Megan Ferguson came into the game in the last inning. Ferguson had one strikeout and allowed one hit and one run.

The Lady Cougars play in the Greenwood Border Battle this weekend at Greenwood High School.
