The Russellville High School football team took on the Hopkins Country Central Storm at historic Rhea Stadium on Friday night.
The Panthers left with a 54-0 win ,scoring eight touchdowns against the Storm.
The Panthers won the coin toss started the game with possession of the ball. On the first play, Demarcus Hampton took the hand-off and rushed 67 yards for their first touchdown. On their very next possession, Zach Hines scored a 28-yard touchdown off a pass from junior quarterback Barrett Croslin.
The Panthers continued on to score six more touchdowns in the game and their defense kept the Storm from scoring ending the game 54-0.
Croslin ended the night going 8-10 for 161 passing yards, with four touchdowns and just one interception. The Panthers ended the game with a total of 441 totals yards with 280 yards rushing and 161 yards passing. Hampton led the Panthers with 74 rushing yards with Zach Hines behind him with 39.
The Panthers will travel to South Warren tonight to take on the Spartans.
