The Logan County Cougars travelled the Bowling Green Hot Rods Stadium on Tuesday afternoon to face the South Warren Spartans. The Cougars had a big night for hits, but fell to the Spartans 15-11.

The Spartans would take a big lead early in the game. The Cougars would make some errors and the Spartans would lead 5-0 at the end of the top of the first. Matt Harper would hit an RBI single in the bottom of the first, but the Cougars would still follow behind the Spartans 5-1 going into the second inning.

The Spartans would get some more big hits in the top of the second, and score three more runs to put them in a big lead of 8-1. When it looked like the Spartans were going to take an easy win, the Cougars would prove them wrong.

Cody Hunt and Joe Holiday would start the Cougars off at the bottom of the second, both getting on base. Thomas Miller would get an RBI single, driving in Hunt. Gage Hales would double for the Cougars, bring in two more runs. Dustin Cartas would step up to the plate and would get a home run, driving in himself and Hales and Caleb Bruner to put the Cougars down 7-8.

But they were not done yet, Ian Woodall would get the next big hit with an RBI triple bringing in Matt Harper. Cody Hunt would get an RBI single driving in Ian Woodall to finish the inning with the Cougars leading 9-8.

The Cougars would maintain their lead until errors were made in the sixth inning, which resulted in the Spartans taking the lead of 13-10 going into the seventh inning.

The Cougars were not able to stop the Spartans from adding more runs on, resulting in a 15-11 loss for the Cougars.

The Cougars will end their regular season tonight with a road game against Greenwood at 5:30.
