Nan Stratton, 79, of Fred Stratton Road, Russellville, died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

She was born February 1, 1933, in Laurel County to Gilbert Smith and Omie Smith. She was a member of Middleton Baptist Church. She worked at Wal-Mart and volunteered at the Logan County Good Samaritan were she was a board member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Douglas Stratton.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Butch Morris, Bro. Denny Burchett and Bro. Bobby Joe Forshee officiating with burial to follow in Stevenson Chapel Methodist Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 and after 8 a.m., Thursday until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers are Michael Brown, Jeffery Warden, Jackie Mallory, Milton Stratton, Terry Lamb and Brandon Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Marklin, Bill Smith, Steve Cavett, Ferrell Gregory and Ricky Gardner.

She is survived by her daughter, DeeDee Brown (Jason) of Russellville; grandchildren Trevor Brown, Ethan Brown and Luke Brown, all of Russellville; brother-in-law ~ Randall Stratton (Judy) of Russellville; sisters-in-law, Christine Gardner of Greenbrier, Tenn., Dorothy Watkins of Chandler, Ind., Phyllis Smith of London and Toni Smith of San Antonio, Texas.

The family requests expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Middleton Baptist Church, Logan County Good Samaritan or Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
