This road of insanity

Are we living in an age of total lunacy?

Shoppers go berserk and slug it out to buy stuff they don’t need, spending money they don’t have. Our government tries to overcome trillions of dollars of debt by spending trillions more of our tax dollars. We watch shows on television all of our waking hours that make absolutely no sense. We listen as news casters and bureaucrats spout lies and trash, day in and day out and we believe it as gospel, no questions asked.

Whatever happened to logical thinking and common sense, or have we given that up also?

Our kids, through games and television, are subjected to killings, blood, guts, and gore from birth, and we wonder why they are mentally disturbed. Their parents have no sense of right and wrong, so none is passed on to the next generation.

Compared to 50 years ago, this country is a socialist state already. We live in a country where our leaders vehemently attack our God, our constitution, our history, our way of life, and apologize to our enemies for our greatness. They shamelessly lie to the people, while those on the government dole, cheer them on. They pass laws that are clearly unconstitutional, and no one blinks an eye or raises a single objection. Our Attorney General sends guns to Mexico and then blames us and our freedoms when hundreds are killed with them.

Christianity is ridiculed on every front, while millions of tax dollars are sent to build mosques and bolster extremest groups who have vowed to kill us and destroy our way of life. We fight for the rights of animals and try to save everything from the whale to the snail darter, yet thousands of unborn children are slaughtered daily, and we call it choice. Those who work are rewarded with higher taxes and ever more government intrusion into their lives, while the slothful and lazy, are rewarded with free everything to buy their allegiance and votes.

We have so many laws that it is impossible to go through a day without being a criminal. In our ever increasing police state we can now be arrested and jailed indefinitely for any or no cause, yet no one is allowed to ask an alien, if they are in this country legally. Government bullies grope children and old women in airports with impunity, but we can go to jail for spanking our kids when they need it. When someone shoots up a school or church, we blame the gun, not the person, and immediately call for passage of even more insane, unconstitutional, laws that any moron can see will accomplish nothing, except to give government ever more control over our lives.

We daily trade our freedoms and our country’s future for worthless feel good politics that profess, if we give up more rights, we will somehow be safer. We shop, play games, cheer at ballgames, and laugh at stupid foolishness, as our country’s ship silently slides beneath the waves and is lost forever. I fear the good moral living and freedoms we enjoyed in the past are just that, in the past, and will never be enjoyed by future generations.

I am deeply saddened by what I see happening in this country because I am old enough to know what is truly being lost. I feel especially sorry for the younger generation who never knew this country when people were hard working, honest, and free. Could it be that the final solution to this problem is the utter and total collapse of this once great nation?

Many, many years ago, long before God was banished from the classroom, my old algebra teacher told me that some problems don’t have a solution, so we must leave those to God. I think that’s where we are in this country today.
