“But has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which was committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior.” Titus 1:3 KJV

If there has ever been a time that Bible preaching is needed, it is today.

There are many today that profess to be Christians who deny that the Bible is God’s inspired word. Those who believe such things have many problems.

The main one is that the very foundation of Christianity is the word of God and His son Jesus Christ.

To say that some of God’s word is true and some is not destroys the whole Bible.

Another problem is that we, as sinful men, will keep the parts we want and get rid of the parts we do not like. There are those who are wise in their own conceits, but are fools. Paul’s epistle to Titus is the third of the pastoral epistles.

It was was written about the same time as I Timothy. In the first verse of the book, Paul tells us of his apostleship.

He also states (according to the faith of God’s elect). (According to) in this context has the sense “with a view to.”

Paul’s aim was to strength the faith of God’s people. Paul also tells Titus to acknowledge the truth. Thy word is truth. Any person or denomination that will not acknowledge God’s word as truth are not truly God’s elect people. our text verse tells us in due time, or in God’s time, He would manifest His word through preaching.

The word of God is the center of what God has called His preachers to do. The word manifest means to make known. Some so-called churches do not make much of the word, but set it aside and butcher it to pieces. They are truly ministers of Satan. II Corinthians 13-15.

That is why preaching and expounding the word of God is so important. Preaching is the means God has chosen to reveal His word. Amen!
