Russellville D.A.R. celebrates Flag Day

The Russellville Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution celebrated Flag Day on June 10 with a luncheon held at Tiffany and Terri’s in Russellville.

The Regent, Mrs. John Dawson, presided, and welcomed the members and guests. Mrs. Gordon Christmas introduced the speaker, Mr. Ben Brown, who spoke on patriotism and the freedoms that we enjoy under our constitution.

Following the meal and program Mrs. Nola Willeford, chapter chaplain, installed the officers for 2009-2011.

They are Mrs. Keith Burnett, Regent; Mrs. Shelby Traugott, Vice Regent; Mrs. Nola Willeford, Chaplain; Mrs. J. D. Luckett, Secretary; Mrs. John Dawson, Treasurer; Ms Mary Lucy Franklin, Registrar-Librarian; and Mrs. Martha Davenport, Historian.
