Following a recent trip to Leading Age Kentucky Health Care Conference, the Auburn Community has much to be proud of. Two local business persons brought home coveted awards from the annual conference.

Stephanie Semrick, Administrator at Auburn Health Care, received the Outstanding Administrator Award. Stephanie has overcome many personal and professional obstacles. Those hurdles include brain surgeries, a mother dying of cancer, and working her way from activities director to administrator.

Stephanie has assisted in the community by offering free seminars and literature to the public and health care professionals to inform them of the Medicare and Medicaid processes. Stephanie strives to make Auburn Health Care a caring facility that offers a home like atmosphere by empowering the staff to take pride in their jobs and listening to them to help improve the facility. She has an open door policy for family, staff, and residents and not only hears but acts on their requests.

Stephanie is involved in the local rotary club and other community groups to help make our community a better place. Stephanie is also a single mother of three school aged children and is very active in their extra curricular activities and her church.

Pastor Gene Vincent also received an award at the annual conference. Gene is a Bi-Vocational Pastor who serves as Pastor for Auburn Baptist Church and Chaplain for Christian Communities in Bowling Green. Pastor Gene received the Spiritual Care Award at the meeting.

Pastor Gene not only reaches out to the Auburn Community by ministering to the needs of the local congregation and the community, he daily serves the residents of Christian Care Community by meeting the spiritual needs of the family and residents of the centers. Alzheimer’s Fund Raisers, Dementia Support Groups, and reaching out to those dealing with difficult times through hand made shaws that represent God’s arms wrapping around them are all a part of Pastor Gene’s everyday life. All this while being a husband and father to two daughters.

Auburn is proud of the accomplishments of Stephanie Semrick and Gene Vincent. Both Stephanie and Gene are valuable assets to the community!
